14. Phoenix Suns

Rodney Hood, F, Duke

There are a lot of factors for the Suns to consider this off-season, after surprising the league by just missing the playoffs.

Everyone thought this team was going to fold up the tent early and attempt to secure a pick in the top five.

The Suns enter this draft with three picks in the first round, and a couple of needs across the court. They could go point guard at any time, because of the uncertainty of Eric Bledsoe returning next year.

They could add another power forward to help better their inside play.

With their first pick, I suspect they will try and get better at small forward, where they struggled with consistency all season. Insert Rodney Hood, who gives a very good driving and finishing team an outside touch. Hood could play right away and make a Goran Dragic more dangerous. If he moves to point guard, the Suns will only better his game by giving him someone to dish it out to on the perimeter.  Hood has the ability to penetrate as well as a great mid range game that he featured this season at Duke. He struggles sometimes on defense, but what does it matter.

When is the last time the Suns played defense?

Hood shot 42% from three point territory. The Suns could use that help right away as they continue to build themselves into a playoff team.
