After selecting Elfrid Payton to play point, the Bulls have to be looking for value at their #19 selection. Doesn’t it get any more valuable than one of the top scorers in the NCAA last season and one of the more efficient players in the draft.
T.J. Warren put NC State on the map this season with his offensive outpouring that pretty much carried his team into the NCAA tournament.
Plain and simple — the Bulls need someone that can score. Warren might not be the best three point shooter, but he can hurt in you a myriad of ways. His mid range game and handle is some of the best that’s been seen at the college level in quite some time.
He drives to the bucket with authority and smoothness. He has mastered the runner and the floater. Two weapons that have been desperately missing from the Chicago Bulls offensive arsenal.
T.J. improved his transition game immensely in the off-season and it shows. The Bulls finished 27th in the NBA in transition offense last season.
Any team that gets him knows he can handle an offensive workload.
