Last year it was Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. going in the first round. This year it could be another lineage pick in Glenn Robinson III and Nik Stauskas. It’s a true testament to what they are doing in Ann Arbor.
GRIII came back one more year to get better, but statistically he get worse. He adjusted to being the leader of the team rather slowly and eventually fell to a third role behind Caris LeVert and Nik Stauskas.
It’s that passive attitude that has the experts worried about Robinson at the next level. He has all the tools to take over ball games. He does a great job of picking away at defenses and is a great above the rim player on offense.
He can use both hands and maintain possession of the basketball.
Heck, he is even a decent defensive player.
It’s the mental side of the game though that he still needs to learn and work on. If the Rockets can give him time to develop, he’d be a great fit in their offense.
