Cartier Martin actually has two-year contract with player option

"Cartier Martin’s worked for security in NBA, and his Pistons deal is termed with a player option for a second season, source tells RealGM."
Good for Martin. He’s a hard-worker and deserves a little security.
According to Spotrac, this is Carter’s 18th NBA contract. It’s his first multi-year deal.
But that also makes his contract – originally reported to be for one year – a little less desirable for the Pistons. If Martin fells below expectations, he’ll opt in and weigh on Detroit’s cap in 2015-16. If he exceeds expectations, he’ll opt out and seek more money.
Considering Martin is still likely on a minimum or near-minimum deal, this isn’t anything to get too worked up about, but it does remove a little flexibility from the Pistons.
