Release Peyton Siva

The former Cardinal point guard is making it a tough decision for the Pistons on whether to keep him on the roster or not. Siva might have slipped through the other franchises in the NBA a year ago, but the way he’s performing in Orlando has him on the radar.

If the Pistons think though that he doesn’t have the size or skills to contribute right away, they could him go after Summer League.

According to Sport Trac, the Pistons have until July 12th to make a decision on Siva — the day after Orlando Summer League. Free Press beat writer Vince Ellis says that Pistons officials say it’s actually July 20th — the same date for Josh Harrellson.

The way he’s playing though, it seem’s like the Pistons would be more likely to go a different route to get him more playing time, instead of giving up on their young point guard prospect.

Siva is averaging just over 6 assists a game  in Summer League play.
