"Jodie Meeks also sat out practice with lingering back spasms and likely will not play Sunday, which probably means another start for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope at shooting guard. Meeks participated in Thursday’s shootaround but missed that night’s game against Milwaukee and both practices since."
Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond were scheduled to start, anyway. So, Smith’s absence won’t greatly affect the rotation today.
Hopefully, he and Meeks get healthy in time for the regular season.
