Keith Langlois of Pistons.com on Spencer Dinwiddie:

"SVG says he’ll play; medical staff puts limit of 18 to 20 minutes."

Dinwiddie was advancing this direction, and the Pistons trading Will Bynum was a big indicator Dinwiddie would be healthy soon. Teams often carry three point guards, and it seems Detroit will have three healthy ones in time for the regular season.

I don’t expect Dinwiddie to play much behind Brandon Jennings and D.J. Augustin, but it’s helpful to have him available – especially because injuries to Jodie Meeks (and, to a lesser extent, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope) could mean using a two-point guard backcourt more often.

More importantly, the Pistons’ only draft pick is healthy and can develop.
