"Thibodeau said Rose will play unless something happens in warmups."
That’s obviously bad news for the Pistons. The Bulls have been much more effective with Rose on the court, outscoring opponents by 18.3 points per 100 possessions when he plays and just 2.5 when he sits.
All the gains have come defensively, and Rose certainly has the ability to lock up Brandon Jennings, but the one-sidedness of Rose’s advantage suggests there’s a sample-size issue here.
That said, you don’t need advanced stats to know Rose is really good. The Pistons will have their hands full for the minutes he can get on the court.
