"Jennings said Josh Smith texted encouragement after the game: “He told us to keep it going. He said he’s happy in Houston”"

If I were in Josh Smith’s shoes, I’m not sure how I’d feel. He’s getting all his money from the Pistons, plus a little extra from the Rockets. On the other hand, it’s embarrassing when your employer pays you to go away. The Pistons’ 7-0 record since releasing him certainly makes it difficult to say they erred in casting him off.

I guess it’s nice to hear Smith is taking the high road, and I’m glad he’s happy in Houston.

I’m sure happy he’s in Houston.

D’oh. I guess Smith is just classier than me. He’s not the villain so many want him to be.
