NBA release:

"Friday, April 3, 2015"

"The Detroit at Chicago game will no longer be televised by ESPN."

What?! Just as the Pistons are playing their basketball in years, they lose a national TV game. Why?

"The Oklahoma City at Memphis game will now be televised by ESPN."

Yeah, that’s fair. Thunder-Grizzlies is objectively a better game.

Especially as an out-of-area fan, I hope the Pistons get as many nationally televised games as possible. Even when I lived in Michigan, it was a treat for the Pistons to get that treatment.

But because they don’t boast a huge market, the Pistons can get those games only by playing well. Apparently, they’ll have to play a little better.
