Greg Monroe responds with lengthy silence when asked about Pistons’ recent close wins (video)

After the Pistons beat the Pacers on Andre Drummond’s game-winning tip-in, Greg Monroe was asked about Detroit’s improvement in close games.
He didn’t say a word.
He didn’t have to.
"Greg Monroe is too classy to say it, so I’ll say it for him.Prior to Josh Smith’s release, the Pistons were outscored by 31 points during his 57 minutes on the floor with the game within five points and five or fewer minutes remaining. He led the team with 26 shots in those situations, making just eight of them (31 percent) and none of his seven 3-point attempts."
Smith’s release caught Monroe, like all of us, off-guard. Since, though, Monroe just seems happier.
Will that translate to him re-signing with the Pistons? I don’t know. That he took the qualifying offer – especially before the deadline to do so – still speaks volumes.
But more than any point since then, it seems possible he stays.
At minimum, the urgency to trade him has been reduced.
