Pistons to sign John Lucas III

Marc Stein of ESPN:

"The Detroit Pistons plan to sign veteran guard John Lucas III to a 10-day contract this week, according to league sources."

Lucas is capable of taking Spencer Dinwiddie’s role as D.J. Augustin’s backup with Brandon Jennings injured.

A 31-year-old who was playing in China, Lucas has six years of NBA experience. He broke into the league with the Rockets and then played a few seasons overseas. He was a helpful contributor for the Bulls three seasons ago and then saw his production regress with the Raptors and Jazz.

Unfortunately, the 5-foot-11 point guard is probably best know for getting dunk on (over?) by LeBron James:
