The Pistons got a very nice win over the Hawks tonight, but it wasn’t all good news.

Spencer Dinwiddie sprained his ankle in the second quarter and didn’t return.

This is just lousy for Dinwiddie, who was really starting to come on strong late in his rookie year.

Hopefully, this won’t interrupt Dinwiddie’s progress, but the Pistons should be cautious. At this point in the season, there’s no reason to rush anyone back from injury.

Tonight, John Lucas III played well in relief, scoring 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting. If Dinwiddie misses time, Lucas becomes the clear backup point guard.
