Rod Beard of The Detroit News:

"For Prince, comparing the Wildcats to any NBA team is not worthy of discussion.“Not close,” Prince said. “It’s cool to have that conversation about those guys and the way they’re playing and whether they would hang in the Eastern Conference, but no, not a chance.”“They’re just too young; they wouldn’t withstand the 82-game season and being able to be prepared to play four games in five nights. (Not) with 18-year-olds all on one team trying to do that … if it was two of them (maybe).”"

This is spot on from Tayshaun Prince, who played at Kentucky.

Even in a single game, Kentucky would be heavy underdogs against ANY NBA team – no matter what former Pistons coach Larry Brown thinks.

Kentucky is an excellent college team, as its undefeated trek to the Final Four proves. But the gap between a great college team and a horrible NBA team is vast. For really smart analysis on this topic, see Kevin Pelton’s breakdown from a few years ago.
