Move over Chauncey, Big Ben, Sheed and Rip. Reggie Jackson has signed the richest contract in Pistons history.

Is he worth it? Not yet.

Not by himself at least. He has shown great chemistry with Andre Drummond in his brief time with the Pistons however, which is worth a premium. Drummond and Jackson will be the inside-outside dynamo the Pistons believe will carry them over the top for at least the next five years.

He also has the benefit of playing for Stan Van Gundy. He’s a coach who has a knack for getting the most out of his point guards (see Brandon Jennings, Jameer Nelson, DJ Augustin) and the flashes of brilliance that Jackson showed particularly after Greg Monroe missed 15 of the last 20 games of 2014-15 should give the Pistons hope that he’ll be no different.

This move gets a B+.
