Guard: Richard Hamilton

Career average: 17.1 points, 3.1 assists, 3.4 rebounds, .8 steals (nine seasons with Pistons)

The Bad Boys of 1989 might be the best team the Pistons ever assembled, but for  Pistons fans who are too young to remember them, the 2004 title team reigns supreme in their hearts.

I fall under the category of Pistons fans who didn’t get the privilege of seeing the Bad Boys live. I remember Hamilton running and running–and running–around screens endlessly to get a clean look from mid-range–his signature shot. He was always the best conditioned player on the court and earned his buckets by out working his opponents.

Things didn’t end well in Detroit for Hamilton, and he’d go on to finish his career with the stinking Bulls, but that doesn’t take away what he was able to accomplish–nine seasons with the Pistons a career average of 17 points, and most importantly, a championship.
