Forward: Grant Hill

CAREER: 16.7 points, 4.1 assists, 6.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals (six seasons with Pistons)

In an era where the Pistons were hard to watch, Grant Hill gave you a reason to tune in every single night. The Pistons watched one transcendent star fade away in Isiah Thomas only to quickly land, what seemed like, another in Hill.

There’s never been another Pistons player with the same type of versatility. Not only was Hill an elite athlete, but he was one of the league’s top scorers and play makers. You could take away Hill’s scoring chances and he would respond by finding his teammates.

Well, what able-bodied teammates he had. Hill’s tenure in Detroit is marred by his surrounding cast. With Lindsey Hunter and Allen Houston, it seemed like the Pistons had built something, but their departures coupled with Hill’s decision to leave for Orlando ended a memorable run.

But, hey, don’t forget Hill’s departure landed Ben Wallace with the Pistons.
