Injuries

The Pistons are a bit on the beat-up side considering the early stage we’re at this season. Guard Brandon Jennings is of course at least a couple months away from being able to return from his torn Achilles, but the team is optimistic he’ll be able to begin on-court drills within the next two weeks according to Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press.

Forward Adonis Thomas has been diagnosed with a slight Achilles tear, but is expected to return to the floor sometime next week.

Center Aron Baynes participated in practice Wednesday, but his ankle injury is expected to keep him out of Thursday’s game against the Nets.

Point guard Steve Blake is still sidelined with a concussion, and Reggie Jackson practiced on Wednesday after missing the opener, and is expected to start Thursday game.
