With the NBA season just a couple days away, The Detroit Pistons are scheduled to open their season against the Atlanta Hawks on October 27, I thought it be a perfect time to sort through some statistics during both Summer League and most of Preseason and use it to predict how the Rookie of the Year race will look.

Some players will be lucky enough to be given all the minutes and touches they can handle by their teams while others will look to battle for playing time while starting from the bench.

Over the next few slides you will see my predicted order of the Rookie of the Year. I will monitor the rookies throughout the season and provide a fortnightly update on how I think the race is shaping up.

Let me know in the comments how you think my rankings shape up and who you think will be winning Rookie of the Year.
