Just shy of two weeks into the 2015-16 season, things are starting to take shape around the NBA. The Houston Rockets have regained their form, and the Atlanta Hawks just keep winning after being handled in the season opener by the Detroit Pistons.

The Golden State Warriors keep doing their thing, just bombing teams off the court, but they’re about to take their sterling undefeated record up against the surprising Detroit Pistons. The Pistons are now 5-1 and just did incredible things to the Portland Trail Blazers on the road Sunday night.

Trailing by double digits most of the night, the Pistons put on a fourth quarter rally for the ages and outscored the Blazers by a 41-11 score in the final stanza, and turned what looked like a disspirited blowout loss into a riotous 120-103 blowout victory.

I’m not going to try and put the Pistons in the same category as the Golden State Warriors just yet, but the fire the Pistons displayed in the second half of Sunday’s game certainly should get fans a bit more amped for Monday’s clash with the defending champion Warriors.

Now that another week is in the books across the league, it’s time for week two of the Piston Powered NBA Power Rankings.
