Although it is way too soon to get a real indication on how these rookies are progressing, it still gives us an idea of what rookies have hit the ground running to start the season.

While Stanley Johnson hasn’t been disappointing, he certainly hasn’t lit the world on fire to begin the season. His shooting percentages have dived and is only seeing 20 minutes per game. He did finally break out of his small slump against the league leading Golden State Warriors with 20 points on 9 from 14 shooting.

A special mention must go to both Justise Winslow and Nemanja Bjerlica who I have ranked just outside the top 5 this fortnight.

The following slides will include my top five contenders in the rookie of the year race with my pre-season rankings in brackets.
