3. player. 156.
27.3 points per game

6.9 rebounds per game

6.1 assists per game

51.7% field goal percentage
. Forward. Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron James

LeBron James is putting up numbers that might indicate he’s got an eye on the top of the NBA’s MVP pecking order. LeBron has scored 30 points or more in five of the last seven games for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and games he didn’t break that mark were a 29 point effort in a 101-97 win against the Indiana Pacers on November 8th and a 27 point total on Thursday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Somehow, perhaps due to the utter dominance of the NBA’s reigning MVP, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, James’ efforts have flown under the radar. He’s not going to be able to keep this quiet for long though.

LeBron James is still a physical specimen at the age of 30, the likes of which may never have been seen before in the NBA. When he decides to take over a game, he is utterly undeniable.

If he decides to take over the MVP race, NBA fans may have a tremendous spectacle to look forward to. Any battle between LeBron James and Steph Curry will be one for the ages, and a battle at the highest stakes possible in the basketball world.
