86. 86. Final. 96. 64

The Detroit Pistons found themselves in early foul trouble for both Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond. That paired with a hot start for rookie Karl-Anthony Towns enabled the Minnesota Timberwolves to take an six point half time lead. Drummond scored 11 points in the third to give the Pistons a three point lead going into the final period.

Reggie Jackson seemed to hit tough shot after tough shot to ensure the Pistons left Minnesota with the win. It was another tale of two halves in this one with the Pistons struggling early to score only 38 points at halftime and finally hitting some shots in the second half while putting on 58 points to close it out.

The Pistons move to 7-5

A-. Jackson played very well in the second half but was hampered by foul trouble in the first. He was efficient when he was on the court and had his first game this season without a turnover. . PG. Pistons. REGGIE JACKSON

SG. Pistons. KENTAVIOUS CALDWELL-POPE. B. KCP continues to struggle with his shot but has been very impressive on the defensive end to make up for it. He had game high +16 when on the court.

B+. Johnson had one of his better performances of the season against the Timberwolves. His defensive effort is always where it needs to be and he finally started hitting his shots late in the game, going 3/5 from behind the arc. . SF. Pistons. STANLEY JOHNSON

16 Points and 11 Rebounds while again showing a positive grade on the plus minus. His ability to get decent looks in isolation really helped when the team was struggling with their shooting early on.. SF. Pistons. MARCUS MORRIS. B

Pistons. ANDRE DRUMMOND. A. Another Double-Double for Drummond who finished with 21 Points and only 11 Rebounds. He has showed significant improvement on his offensive game, particularly his jump hook. Overall, he scored 21 points on only 13 shots from the field. C

SPENCER DINWIDDIE. C. Played 20 minutes due to Jackson’s early foul trouble. Didn’t record a turnover while contributing 6 points and 2 assists. A decent game from Dinwiddie. PG. Pistons

Pistons. ARON BAYNES. B+. Another bench player that benefited from a starters foul trouble. Managed to secure 11 Rebounds (tying a career high for rebounds off the bench) in just 19 Minutes to go along with 6 Points, 2 Steals and 2 Blocks. Very solid performance on both ends.. C

Tolliver is really struggling with his shot and is not finding other ways to help the team out. Missing all seven of his attempts to go along with two rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench. . PF. Pistons. ANTHONY TOLLIVER. D

C. Only played 19 minutes but managed to get draw another offensive foul while on defense.. PF. Pistons. ERSAN ILYASOVA

D. Only managed to get 6 minutes which was enough time to miss all three shot attempts.. SG. Pistons. REGGIE BULLOCK

B+. Whatever Van Gundy said at half time certainly did the trick. The key to the Pistons rally was the second half defensive effort and then hitting shots they were otherwise missing in the first half . Head Coach. Pistons. STAN VAN GUNDY
