Emmanuel Mudiay

While Mudiay continues to struggle with turnovers, he is averaging almost a block a game which leaves him second amongst point guards behind only John Wall who is coincidentally having turnover issues of his own.

He hasn’t shown any improvement in terms of efficiency as the first month came to a close, but that should change the more comfortable he gets. He has improved his free throw shooting over his final six or seven games but is shooting only 33% from the field and 27% from the three point line. What’s worse, he’s only shot better than 36% from the field on four occasions over his first fifteen games.

Mudiay has shown glimpses of potential including a 16 Points, 11 Assists with only 1 Turnover performance against the Milwaukee Bucks as well as a career high 26 points against the Phoenix Suns.

Taking turnovers and efficiency away, he’s averaging 12 Points, nearly 4 rebounds and just over 6 assists per game to go along with a steal and a block is a decent start for the 19 year old.

If he can improve on the two major issues with his game as the season progresses, he should be in consideration for Rookie of the Year at the end of the season.
