Jahlil Okafor

It should come as no surprise that Okafor is leading all rookies in points per game with just over 18. After averaging just 5.5 Rebounds per game after his first six games, Okafor has slowly improved on that aspect of his game and his bumped his season average up to just over 8. In fact, he has averaged a far more respectable 9.6 rebounds per game over his previous ten.

Okafor has managed to score 19 or more points in ten of his first sixteen games as a pro. Another aspect of his game that he continues to slowly improve on is his shot blocking, averaging 1.8 blocks on the season but has managed atleast two blocks in nine of his last eleven outings.

The Sixers 0-16 start has taking a lot of the shine off Okafor’s solid start with more people talking about when the Sixers will get their first win rather than how the rookie has been performing. There may also be repercussions for his actions in Boston recently
