Kristaps Porzingis

Porzingis continues to show why Phil Jackson made the decision to select him fourth overall. Many mocked the pick at the time and he was booed by a number of Knicks fans in attendance. One month into the season and those same fans are now chanting his name at Madison Square Garden.

He has really started to hit form towards the end of his first month and has put together three 20+ Point, 10+ Rebound games in the New York Knicks last five which included an unbelievable 24 Point, 14 Rebound and 7 Block night against the underperforming Houston Rockets.

The media has gone into overdrive when covering Porzingis and it’s easy to see why. His put back dunks and shot blocking have already made him a fan favorite on Youtube viewers worldwide.

There were thoughts when he was drafted that he may be two or three years away from being a consistent performer at the elite level, but he seems to have made a mockery of that projection.

Porzingis is helping his team outperform preseason projections with the Knicks currently among a number of teams vying for one of the final two playoff spots in the East.
