In their worst game of the season, the Pistons were outworked in every facet of the game against the Wizards. For some reason, Detroit has failed to figure out how to defeat Washington, falling to 0-3 in the season series. When the Pistons had a chance to attain the seventh seed in the East, they fell behind by 19 in the first quarter and struggled to even look respectable.

As John Wall dominated for 15 points and 12 assists, the Pistons looked far from a playoff team. The night is likely a fluke as the Pistons are headed into a nine-game home stand after winning seven of their last 10. Now at the ninth seed, Detroit’s loss may have been the wake-up call it needed.
