Coming off a huge win in Chicago over the Bulls, the Detroit Pistons put together their worst performance in weeks in a blowout loss to the Miami Heat.

PG. Pistons. REGGIE JACKSON. C-. The shots still aren’t falling for Jackson, but his effort hasn’t wavered. He still isn’t getting the type of dribble penetration he needs to get going, but he was aggressive tonight and got to the line frequently. His defense on Goran Dragic was good because, once the bench came in, all hell broke loose as Dragic blew up in the fourth quarter. That plays into the effort, I think. But these shooting struggles are hard to watch.

F. Caldwell-Pope couldn’t hang onto the ball nor get a shot near the rim offensively and he couldn’t defend Dwyane Wade without fouling. It was just a truly awful night all around for a guy who normally limits his bad nights to just the offensive or defensive end.. SG. Pistons. KENTAVIOUS CALDWELL-POPE

A-. Two Pistons showed up tonight and Harris was one of them. He showed off the whole repertoire offensively and appeared to be the only Piston capable of making a shot outside of two feet. It was a bright spot one of the few.. SF. Pistons. TOBIAS HARRIS

D+. It was strange to see Morris struggle as much as he did against the Heat. He’s been so good lately, but just had no openings on Tuesday. Teams are starting to game plan for him which should open up shots for others. The problem against Miami was Morris’ post up and pick and roll possessions were limited. It was a rare dud.. SF. Pistons. MARCUS MORRIS

Pistons. ANDRE DRUMMOND. B+. And here’s the other Pistons player to show up tonight. Drummond dominated the glass and held his own against Hassan Whiteside. He looked good posting up and, though he missed some rotations on defense, didn’t play poorly on that end, either. Considering the Pistons’ ice-cold shooting led to zero spacing, Drummond played very well offensively.. C

C. Baynes is good in certain matchups… but when you pit him against a long and athletic shot blocker like Whiteside, he’s going to struggle.. C. Pistons. ARON BAYNES

PF. Pistons. ANTHONY TOLLIVER. D+. Shots weren’t falling, so Tolliver wasn’t providing much. He did grab a nice offensive rebound after Drummond missed a hack-a-shot.

F. He hasn’t been the same since the shoulder injury and tonight was just a disjointed and unorganized effort. He’s pressing, and he’s not good enough to work out of a slump like this.. SF. Pistons. STANLEY JOHNSON

He was Steve Blake.. PG. Pistons. STEVE BLAKE. C-

C. Stan Van Gundy got sick of Stanley Johnson so he tossed Hilliard out there. Let’s just say, while he hit some triples, he was unable to bring that same hot shooting his Villanova brethren had last night against North Carolina.. SG. Pistons. DARRUN HILLIARD II

STAN VAN GUNDY. D. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the Pistons had no energy, no answers to Miami on either end and flopped on national television yet again. It’s hard to blame Van Gundy for the energy, but Miami did a great job limited Detroit’s 3-point looks. Not that they were going to make any on a night like this, but what was the adjustment? Ride Jackson’s layups and Drummond/Harris isolation calls? It was just a series of isos. Games like this show that the Pistons aren’t close to winning a playoff series if they make it.. Head Coach.
