The Detroit Pistons started game 2 strong, leading as late as the mid-third quarter, but the Cleveland Cavaliers’ offensive onslaught proved too much.

The Detroit Pistons shot the cover off the ball for most of game 1 of this series, which was enough for them to keep that game close most of the way. Game 2 was the Cavalier rebuttal as the Cavs shot a scorching 20-38 from behind the three-point line, which is a team record for made threes.

Giving 60 points from behind the arc to a LeBron James-led team in the playoffs is a recipe for disaster, so it’s no surprise that the Cavaliers finally surged in the middle of the third quarter when the Piston starters came out of the game and put the game out of reach in short order.
