After starting strong for the third straight game in the series, the Pistons were again unable to maintain that early momentum and fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-91.
The Cavs were able to take control of the game towards the end of the third quarter and despite a late push from the Pistons were able to hold on to take a 3-0 lead in the series. It was a solid all around performance from the Pistons starters, each scoring atleast 13 points, that just proved to be not enough in this one.
Kyrie Irving lead the charge on offense scoring 26 points on 11-20 shooting. He hit a tough, contested corner three with less than a second on the shot clock to push the lead from 5 to 8 with less than 1 minute remaining in the fourth quarter. Tristan Thompson had more offensive rebounds (8) than the Pistons had as a team (5).
