It’s about time for phase two of free agency, and we look at a few options Stan Van Gundy could take to fill out the remainder of the Pistons’ roster.

Pistons’ head coach and president of basketball operations Stan Van Gundy said earlier this week he’d still like to add one more big. With the recent acquisition of Cameron Bairstow in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, that may mean Bairstow’s time in Detroit may be very short lived. Now with a number of bigs on the roster with the additions of Henry Ellenson through the draft and Jon Leuer through free agency, is there room to keep Bairstow on the roster if Stan Van Gundy was to add yet another big?

Without Bairstow, plus assuming Van Gundy doesn’t bring back third-string center Joel Anthony or backup point guard Steve Blake, the Detroit Pistons roster will be at 13. Two free spots. One of those spots could be given to Lorenzo Brown due to his recent play in the summer league. Maybe Van Gundy elects to keep Joel Anthony as the injury cover center he has been the past couple years with the other spot. Perhaps he could keep a free spot or two open with trade scenarios on the horizon.

Those would be the more simple solutions. Here a few players that may be suitable for Stan Van Gundy to pick up for his remaining spots.
