There is a theme for today’s post as CBS Sports released rankings for both the starting and bench units for all 30 NBA teams, and we discussed how the Pistons fare in both.
With no further ado, let’s get started.
Piston Profile: Ray McCallum Jr.

Detroit Pistons’ starters are a top-10 unit says CBS
"The Detroit Pistons rounded out their starting lineup by adding Tobias Harris at the trade deadline last season. The starters with Harris in the lineup were much improved. In fact, after acquiring Harris, the Pistons won at a rate that would equate to 52 wins over an 82 game season. So how good are the Pistons starters? According to CBS sports, the unit is top 10."

By Duncan Smith
"CBS Sports kicked off the week with a ranking of the NBA’s starting units, placing theDetroit Pistons’ starting five in ninth across the league, and they followed it up with a ranking of the NBA’s bench units. It’s become a reflex to cringe whenever the Pistons are brought up in the context of bench play, but thanks to a solid offseason that appears to be a thing of the past."
Pistons set to visit Hawks in preseason contest
"Detroit is set to visit the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on October 13th, 2016. A time for the game has not yet been released, but judging from usual Hawk home tip-off times, it is likely to be around 8 p.m. EST."
