The Detroit Pistons came out flat and never got on track against the Toronto Raptors, last season’s Eastern Conference finalist. Check out our grades from the Pistons 103-92 loss right here.

The Detroit Pistons never quite got it going and their patented second half surge was met with resistance by the Toronto Raptors. Andre Drummond displayed good passing touch and was a positive presence in the post, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope continued his strong play after standing out against the Milwaukee Bucks a game ago.

Detroit Pistons. KENTAVIOUS CALDWELL-POPE. B. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had another strong game. He scored 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting and hit one of his two three-point attempts. He added two steals and an assist in 32 minutes and was -5. After a cold start to the preseason, it’s reassuring to see KCP close strong.. SG

B+. Andre Drummond had an effective final game of the preseason. He scored 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting and hit two of his five free throws. Drummond added 13 rebounds and had two assists. He has displayed some uncharacteristically nice passing touch in the paint, and had several baskets while operating from the post.. C. Detroit Pistons. ANDRE DRUMMOND

The most difficult game to grade a coach on is the final game of the preseason. The camera lingered on Stan Van Gundy after the introductions were done at the Palace of Auburn Hills, and it was obvious nobody wanted to be out of there and done with the preseason more than him.
