The Detroit Pistons return home to the Palace of Auburn Hills seeking a bounce-back effort against the Denver Nuggets following a disappointing loss.

The Detroit Pistons (3-2) will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss when they return to the Palace for their match up against the Denver Nuggets (2-2).

Home to the Nuggets before a stretch that includes six of the next seven games on the road, the Pistons will be looking for a better effort on the defensive end after giving up 71 first half points against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Pistons are undefeated at home during the first three encounters at the Palace with their two losses coming on the road. In the three wins, Detroit have been able to keep their opponents to under 90 points per game while giving up a disappointing 109 points in each of the two losses.

A strong start to the season for both Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris have kept the Pistons above 0.500 after five games, with the pair combining for 38.8 points per game.

The Pistons will be hoping for more from Andre Drummond. The big man is averaging 12.6 Points and 13.6 Rebounds but is shooting under 43 percent from the field over the first five games. He was particularly lacklustre in the loss to the Nets and the most disappointing aspect of his game was his energy, or lack thereof.

The Nuggets on the other hand come to the Palace off the back of a gritty come from behind win in Minnesota against the struggling Timberwolves. Despite conceding 37 points in the first quarter the Nuggets were able to use big second and third quarters to go to a big lead before holding on late as the Wolves closed in to make it a single possession game.

Denver have found success in getting to the free throw line in the early stages of the season with Will Barton and Danilo Gallinari combining to shoot 40 from 44 attempts in just three games. The Nuggets won both games last season with Gallinari in particular going 21 from 24 from the line over the two games.

This will be the Nuggets third game of a six game road trip and the first during a three games in four days stretch.

The Pistons are slight favorites but with the likes of Jusuf Nurkic and Nikola Jokic in form and battling inside it will provide an interesting encounter.
