Detroit Pistons welcome the San Antonio Spurs to the Palace
Despite their ongoing struggles on the road, losing 6 of 7, the Pistons have won 7 of their last 8 home games. The Pistons have averaged nearly 115 points per game during that home stretch. In comparison, they have lost 6 of 7 on the road and have only managed just over 100 points per game away from the Palace.
The San Antonio Spurs will visit the Palace of Auburn Hills to face the Detroit Pistons for their third game of the “Rodeo Road Trip” in which they play eight games straight on the road over the course of 20 days. They have a winning record in 13 of 14 Rodeo trips, including a 7-1 record last season and 82-35 overall.
This is the second and final match up between the two teams after the Spurs won the first encounter 96-86. This Both teams are coming into this game on the back of winning 4 of their last 5.
Back in November the Pistons were lead by Andre Drummond who finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Interestingly he has averaged exactly 20 points and 17 rebounds in the big wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers, both at home.
The Spurs struggled in their first game of the “Rodeo Road Trip”. Missing star forward Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs scored just 74 points in a big loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Unfortunately for the Pistons, Leonard returned to the lineup and scored 32 points and helped the Spurs to a 111-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

In the first meeting, the Pistons were able to hold Leonard to 17 points on 5 from 18 shooting. They will need to limit his opportunities again if they want to improve on their recent strong form at the Palace.
