Jake hosts the Pistons’ pregame, halftime and postgame shows on 105.1, the Pistons’ flagship radio station. This week he launched the Wired: Pistons daily podcast recording on site at the Palace and to date has had fellow radio co-host Ryan Hoover, Detroit Free Press beat reporter Vince Ellis, Detroit News beat reporter Rod Beard and MLive beat reporter Aaron McMann join him.
After perhaps the most thrilling win of the season for the Pistons, it was my turn to hit Jake’s studio at the Palace. We talked about the trade deadline and the lack of action from the Pistons, the differences in what Ish Smith and Reggie Jackson bring to the table, Tobias Harris, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope‘s value to the Pistons and much more. We also took a look at the NBA at large and had some thoughts on the Boston Celtics’ trade deadline inactivity, speculation on Magic Johnson‘s player evaluation abilities, the preposterousness that is the Chicago Bulls and more.
I’m not going to spoil it, you’re going to have to listen to it yourself. Please do so and enjoy, as the link is below.
You can follow Jake at @JakeChapmanNBA and you can catch all the podcasts to date on Pistons.com (but you should subscribe on iTunes). Make sure to support this podcast as it builds its early following.
