The Detroit Pistons score over 130 points in regulation for the first time since 2008 in a strong offensive performance in their blowout win against the short-handed Philadelphia 76ers.
After a slow start that saw the Philadelphia 76ers take an early 9 point lead, the Detroit Pistons were able to wrestle control of the game back towards the end of the first quarter and the result never really looked in doubt from there.

They had four players score 20 or more and six in double figures, led by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who scored 26 points on just 11 shots.
Impressively for the Pistons, who have had significant issues at the free throw line in recent times, they made18 from 21 attempts. This was no doubt helped by the fact Andre Drummond didn’t make it to the free throw line. Drummond has made just 5 of his last 29 attempts.
The Pistons only committed 9 personal fouls which led to just 7 free throw attempts with the Sixers making 6 of them. They also forced 20 turnovers while only committing 8 themselves. Interestingly, the Sixers scored 25 points off turnovers compared to the Pistons 15.
Eight Pistons finished shooting 50% from the field or higher with only four Sixers doing the same.
The Pistons have a day off before facing the 6th placed Chicago Bulls at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
