With the Detroit Pistons on a mission to reach .500 for the season once more, they came out hot and continued playing well from Thursday night for a win over the Knicks, 112-92.
Getting off to sluggish starts has been a problem for the Detroit Pistons as of late. From February to March, the Pistons have averaged an NBA-low 21 points per game in the first quarter.
Saturday night, though, was a different story.
After a timeout from a 9-9 tied game, the Pistons went on a 10-0 run and never looked back. The Knicks made it tough, chopping an 18 point deficit down to three near the beginning of the four, though never took the reins from Detroit.
Detroit finished strong and was able to reach .500 once more with a win before heading on the road to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.
