Simulating the Offseason for the Detroit Pistons

2016-17 NBA Playoffs
On 2k, I was able to start the playoffs exactly how they are today. Leading 1-0 in the NBA Finals over the Cleveland Cavaliers, I was curious to see if the Golden State Warriors’ superteam was able to finally put LeBron James away for their second title in three years.
It was a hard-fought series by the Cavaliers, led by LeBron James and sniper Kyrie Irving. Klay Thompson was largely absent the entirety of the series and Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant alternated the scoring for the Warriors. LeBron James was able to win Game 3 at home, but the firepower of the Golden State Warriors and Finals MVP Kevin Durant was too much to handle.
Golden State won the series 4-1 and Kevin Durant’s decisions paid off. Durant wins his first title and Finals MVP averaging 25.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 2.8 steals and 1.4 blocks per game, and shot 61.6 percent from the floor and 47.4 percent from beyond the arc.
