How Detroit Pistons Luke Kennard compares with J.J. Redick and Kyle Korver
By Ash Vanclay
As we prepare for Summer League, let’s look at how the Detroit Pistons most recent draftee, sharpshooter from Duke University Luke Kennard compares to some NBA players.
At Piston Powered we decided that we would compare Luke Kennard to a few different players. Braden recently compared Kennard to Klay Thompson and Devin Booker, which would be an ideal situation for the Detroit Pistons if that worked out, and personally I was surprised at how close those comparisons were.

However having a look at some of the feedback received on that, there was a lot of suggestions that this would be his best case scenario.
So with that in mind, I’m going to continue this comparison series by comparing Kennard to J.J. Redick, and Kyle Korver, which seems like a much more attainable comparison considering we are still yet to see Kennard play minutes in a Detroit Pistons uniform. However in saying that, his future teammate Stanley Johnson is very impressed with Kennard, even just from practice in Orlando with the Pistons’ Summer League team. As you can see below in a tweet from Keith Langlois of Pistons.com.
