The hype for NBA 2K18 has been real up so far, slowly releasing marquee player ratings. Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons landed an 85 overall rating.
Last go around, 2K generously gave Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons an 87 overall rating. This time, though, Drummond sees a drop by two, down to 85 for this years launch. This drop is rightfully so, due to his struggles throughout last season, while still being one of the leagues best rebounders.
The graphics for this years rendition of the NBA 2K series are looking impeccable. It looks as if 2K is taking a big leap this year, adding features fans could only dream of.
Andre Drummond, since coming into the league, has always been a fan-favorite to play with on NBA 2K. Even though a multitude of fans have been discouraged by Drummond’s improvement as of late, he is still quite fun to mess around with in the virtual world.

Andre Drummond offers a list of things to your virtual team. He gives a polarizing threat on defense in the paint, as well as a quality fast-break big who can tear past opposing defenders. Drummond also swats shots away and grabs every rebound within his reach. His offense can be difficult to get right when playing with him, but he can provide a quality post scoring option if used correctly.
2K has reported that they have revamped and polished the games player movement system, which only benefits Andre Drummond. Drummond has unique athleticism for a big man, making it hard for 2K to correctly resemble the prominent big man. But with these new movements, players might finally be able to dictate everything the player does on the court.
Andre Drummond, especially after his successful nasal surgery, should look to improve upon a lackluster performance a season ago. With that, he should see a rise in his 2K rating as the season moves on.

Taking everything into consideration, he could cap out at as high as 90 overall this year. While that seems quite unrealistic, it can become a reality if Drummond can turn things around.
