Duncan comes running into my office as I am packing my suitcase to head home. He exclaims that this last proposal is from one of of his “bros” and he’d really appreciate it if I considered it. Duncan’s been a good, loyal assistant thus far so I’ll allow it…
Pelicans propose Cousins for Drummond and 2018 and 2020 1st round picks. What do you do? #ShamGM

I am surprised the Pelicans had sent this trade because it not only involves one of their premier players in DeMarcus Cousins, but also is an invalid trade! I called up the Pelicans’ GM and he admitted that his assistant, Brendan, forgot to attach Jordan Crawford to the trade. The revised trade offer is as follows:
DeMarcus Cousins is an unrestricted free agent after this year making this trade an easy rejection for me. While Cousins is one of the best big men in the country, he is also 27 and likely on his last max-level contract. It’s doubtful that he would want to resign with the Detroit Pistons, a team thats far away from contending for a title. These factors make giving up the best rebounding big in the game as well as two valuable first round picks unlikely, making a decision on this trade an easy call. REJECTED!
