Detroit Pistons’ legend Rip Hamilton just shared an image of his custom Piston-themed blue, red and white Air Jordan 11s. What do you think of these?

Detroit Pistons’ champion and All-Star Richard Hamilton (heretofore known as Rip) took to Instagram to show off his Piston-themed blue, red and white custom Air Jordan 11s.

A little research on these shoes (particularly courtesy of Sneaker Bar Detroit, for all your Downtown Detroit sneaker needs) indicates that there is no indication of these shoes being made available for public release soon, but of course, as Rip notes in his IG post, that could change if he wins the Powerball.

However, the highest-priced Air Jordan 11 on Flightclub.com goes for about $500, so buying these for each of his 168,000 IG followers would cost about $84 million if he had to pay full price. Make sure to check back later and see if Rip won.

Whether or not Jordan Brand athlete Rip Hamilton buys you a pair of these sneakers, they’ve stirred up strong opinions both pro and con online. I’m no sneaker expert, but I like the familiar color-scheme. What do you guys think?

Hamilton played 631 games for the Detroit Pistons in his nine seasons, winning an NBA championship in 2003-04 alongside Chauncey Billups, Tayshaun Prince, Rasheed Wallace and Ben Wallace.  He averaged 18.4 points per game with the Pistons and led the NBA in three-point percentage in 2005-06 at 45.8 percent.

He made three All-Star games, and his No. 32 jersey was retired by the Pistons this past season.
