Sadly for NBA and Detroit Pistons’ fans, news is few and far between in August. So here’s an update on Luke Kennard and his high profile relationship with Chrisley Knows Best star, Savannah Chrisley, has come to an end after four months.

It’s August, AKA the slowest month of the NBA offseason. So what do we have to talk about besides team projections, comprehensive analyses of what happened last season, and what to expect from new players? How about the high profile relationship of Pistons’ rookie Luke Kennard and Savannah Chrisley, which has now come to an end after four months.

I know guys and gals, this is really the low point of the offseason, and I apologize for being the guy who put us there.

Chrisley via Entertainment Tonight:

"“The last four months I’ve been dating Luke have been great, but as a young woman of faith I made the decision that with where Luke and I both are in our careers, it was best to part as friends rather than deal with the pressures of wondering if you are the only one,” Chrisley said in a statement to ET. “I was brought up to know my worth. I’m 20 now and so excited to live my life as beautifully as God intended, I will forever love the Kennard family.”"

Though social entertainment is not my thing, I am kind of sad to hear the news. For starters, Detroit doesn’t get much publicity in general, and although this isn’t the highest of high-profile relationships, it still got people talking about Kennard, and Detroit, as a result of the relationship.

I don’t know much about Chrisley (I actually had never heard of her, or the Chrisley Knows Best show), but Chrisley seemed to genuinely care for Kennard, and seems to have a good upbringing. Hopefully Kennard isn’t too beat up about the ending of the relationship.

Even more, I hope we get to start talking about the great things Kennard is doing on the basketball court here soon, and that his play supersedes his personal relationships.
