On Friday morning the Detroit Pistons announced the official date for their Media Day, and they also released dates and times for their training camp practice schedule.
Media Day is the unofficial start to the NBA season, with training camp beginning the next day. That start this year will be on Monday, September 25th. Media day will begin at 1 p.m. and will be held at the Pistons’ practice facility in Auburn Hills. It won’t be open to the general public, but you can finally get your fix for real Pistons’ discussion once the media gets their hands on Stan Van Gundy and players from the team.
Training camp will begin on Tuesday, September 26th with a practice at 10 a.m., which runs until noon. This is the first of two two-a-day practice days, and the second practice will be at 5 p.m.
The second day of training camp will be Wednesday, September 27th and will consist of one practice at 10 a.m., which will be following by day three on Thursday, September 28th. This will be the second two-a-day with practices at 10 and 5.
The fourth and final day of training camp will be on September 29th, once again at 10 a.m.

As for notes to be aware of going into training camp, Reggie Jackson is not expected to participate in both ends of two-a-day practices. This has been the plan since he began a 16-week rehab program after the 2016-17 season ended.
