The Detroit Pistons revealed their new statement jerseys with Tobias Harris joining other players at the reveal. Let’s take a look at what was revealed.
With the release of the brand new statement jerseys today, let’s take a look at what the Detroit Pistons revealed. Thanks to the realism in the release of the latest game from the NBA 2K franchise, a lot of us have already seen what all teams jerseys digitally look like. These are some of the first jerseys to contain advertising and some of the first by the new uniform partner Nike.
The Detroit Pistons revealed their new statement jerseys with Tobias Harris joining a swathe of other stars and players, at the Nike event where all the jerseys were revealed by all teams. The Detroit Pistons have gone with a similar look to last season’s ‘Detroit chrome’ jerseys.
And here we have a closer look at the statement uniform itself:
Some of the changes compared to the original chrome jersey include: the blue and red trim down the sides of the jerseys, which also continues onto the shoulder trim, and even the shorts as well! As well as the new red outlining to the main text and numbers which based on what I’ve seen is quite polarizing. Obviously it features the Nike logo, as well as the Detroit Pistons new partner Flagstar bank, as well as the new lettering logo which features on the bottom left hand side of the shorts.
The Detroit Pistons will wear these statement jerseys five times throughout the season (schedule below) against: the San Antonio Spurs, the Houston Rockets, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Next: Should the Pistons start Jon Leuer or Stanley Johnson?
Personally I like the jersey. I like the way that it ties in our blue and red traditional colouring into the chrome alternate. What do you guys think?
