With training camp just around the corner, Stan Van Gundy provided the media with the Detroit Pistons injury report on media day.

The Detroit Pistons enter 2017-18 training camp with all hands on deck, but a few minor injury concerns. Stan Van Gundy laid out the team’s health situation going into camp.

First off, he addressed Reggie Jackson‘s health status coming off rehab for the knee tendinitis that befell him last season.

More from PistonPowered

“He can go once a day. He did play some five-on-five at the end of last week. We’re just trying to decide which practice and how much and how to bring him along. Really the biggest issue right now is conditioning. He’s in the shape of someone who hasn’t played in six months so conditioning is an issue for him. We’ve got the approach of getting him back into game shape without overly pounding on his legs.”

The Pistons will have three days with two practices, and the second practice each day will be intense five-on-five action. It’s reasonable to assume he’ll be more likely to go in the mornings than in the more strenuous evening sessions.

Up next was Langston Galloway, who suffered a bone bruise in August.

“Langston hasn’t done any contact work. He had a bone bruise in his knee in August so they had him off of it for three or four weeks but the bone bruise hadn’t healed so they held him out of September. He’s cleared to go now, but hasn’t done anything in a long time.”

Finally, Andre Drummond is at less than full strength.

“Andre sprained an ankle at the end of last week in a one-on-one thing with Eric Moreland, maybe Thursday. Landed wrong, no major damage. Planning to go at least in the morning in the non-contact practice tomorrow. Don’t know if he’ll be available for the first couple days when we go five-on-five at night.”
