Pistons to hold “Meet The Team” event on October 3rd

The Detroit Pistons will bring back the annual “Meet The Team” event on October 3rd at their new home in Downtown Detroit, Little Caesars Arena.

Fans of the Detroit Pistons will get their first look at the team in its new home on October 3rd at 7 p.m. when they hold their annual “Meet The Team” event at Little Caesars Arena in Downtown Detroit.

Tickets to this first-look event are free, but you do need tickets to get into the venue and you cannot purchase these tickets on the day of the event. Tickets will be general admission and will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis while supplies last.

The first 1,500 fans through the doors will receive a voucher to take a shot on the floor at Little Caesars Arena.

The event will include team introductions, an on-court presentation from Stan Van Gundy focusing on the offensive and defensive concepts the team will utilize this season, skills competition and entertainment from the various Pistons performance teams, dance squads and Hooper, the mascot.

The schedule for the “Meet The Team” event is as follows:

6:45 p.m. Doors Open

7:15 p.m. Player Introductions

7:15-7:45 p.m. Stan Van Gundy offensive and defensive walk-thru with players

7:45-8:15 p.m. Player shooting competitions and skills demonstration

8:15 p.m. Detroit Pistons Performance Team

8:30 p.m. Event Concludes

The Pistons will begin their preseason the next night, on October 4th at 7 p.m. at home against the Charlotte Hornets. Their first three preseason games will be played at Little Caesars Arena.
