Pistons announce partnership with Jeep as exclusive domestic vehicle
By Duncan Smith
The Detroit Pistons announced on Thursday morning an agreement with Jeep to be the organization’s exclusive domestic vehicle. Jeep’s logo will appear on the floor at Little Caesars Arena.
The Detroit Pistons are adding corporate partnerships as we near the start of the preseason. After announcing Flagstar Bank this summer as their first jersey patch sponsor and Platinum Equity in a corporate partnership, the organization added Jeep to its growing portfolio of partners.
Much like the partnership with Platinum Equity, Jeep’s logo will appear on the court at Little Caesars Arena. While Platinum Equity’s logo will appear on actual playing court on both sides of the halfcourt line, Jeep’s logo will appear on both sides of the half court line on the bench-side sideline, in full view of TV cameras.
While Platinum Equity’s logo will appear on the Pistons floor in NBA-licensed video games, at this point Jeep’s logo is not expected to join it.
Take a look at the video below to see how the court will look when the Pistons tip off the preseason.
“We are extremely excited to partner with one of the most iconic automotive companies in the world,” said Charlie Metzger, Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer of the Detroit Pistons. “This is a fantastic brand fit for two community-minded global brands that are dedicated to the Motor City and we look forward to working with the Jeep brand to engage NBA fans and provide exciting basketball and entertainment experiences.”
Jeep will also be the official sponsor of the Wired: Pistons podcast (which you should be listening to) and will be featured prominently in all Pistons social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
