It’s Halloween night Detroit Pistons fans. That means we can play a fun little game to get into the haunting spirits of the holiday/festivity. That leads me to this question: What scares you the most about the Detroit Pistons?

The Detroit Pistons are scary. Scary good, that is, as they sit atop of the Eastern Conference.

With it being the holiday of creepy and scary, I decided that we should do an exercise today. That is, we should decide what it is that scares us about the Pistons the most.

I’ll go first.

For me, it’s two things: the lack of sample size for the Pistons success, and the options behind Reggie Jackson.

Let’s start with the first scare: The Pistons have played seven games. They may have beaten the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors in back-to-back nights, but that’s not much of a sample size to determine if the Pistons are legit.

The other thing that scares me is the lack of options behind Jackson, should his knee flair up.

In the most awful of events, if Jackson goes down, that either pushes Ish Smith to the starting lineup, or Langston Galloway.

Don’t get me wrong, both players are awesome. It’s just that they have such good chemistry and are playing so well on the second unit, that moving either into the starting lineup could really hurt the play of the second unit–which has been a strength for the team.

While the worst case scenario still looks pretty good for the Pistons, it would no doubt hurt the team’s ability to win make the playoffs. As it stands now, the Pistons look like a team that will not only make the playoffs, but could also win a series, so it would be a drop off to say the least.
